Take control of milk collection route planning
MilkRun is milk collection route planning software for dairy processors. Plan each day's collections from supplier farms across your tankers and plants to make better use of the fleet, then check what actually happened on the road.
Tomorrow's collection plan
How efficiently is your milk collection running today?
Do you need every tanker in your fleet?
Check whether you could collect the same volume with fewer tankers and still meet every collection window and plant requirement.
How many kilometres does your fleet need to drive each day?
See whether total mileage and collection time can come down without missing pickups or putting milk quality at risk.
What happens when tomorrow doesn't go to plan?
A tanker breaks down, a farm's volume changes, a collection window moves. Rebuild the plan and see the impact on the rest of the day.
Plan, simulate and control milk collection routes in one model
MilkRun turns each day's collection requirements into a route plan you can measure, then shows management how that plan was carried out on the road.
Plan routes for the whole fleet
Routes take account of supplier locations and volumes, each farm's milk grade, tanker compartments, driver shifts, operating hours, plant requirements and your own rules. Grades that must not be mixed, such as milk with different fat content or organic milk, go into separate compartments.
Test decisions before making them
Take a tanker out, change supplier volumes or fleet capacity, then compare the effect on mileage, time and utilisation.
Compare plan with reality
Track actual routes, mileage, timings, delays and deviations to see where operations differ from the plan.
The shortest route is not always the best plan. You choose what MilkRun optimises for.
See it on a map: compare manual planning with the MilkRun plan, then take a tanker out of service.
Open the plan ↑See what actually happened on every collection route
Build a reliable record of every collection day, so recurring delays, route deviations and unused tank capacity are easier to spot.

Show data table
Planned vs actual mileage
Compare expected and actual distance by vehicle, route or period.
Collection & journey times
Find recurring delays and routes that regularly run over time.
Route deviations
See where actual vehicle movements differ from the approved plan.
Fleet utilisation
See how well each tanker and its capacity are used.
Operational history
Keep a consistent record for reporting and for planning the next season.
Exceptions
Flag unusual days and repeat problems for management.
Works with the systems you already use
Keep your ERP, TMS and other software. MilkRun works with the data flows you already have.
API integration
Connect directly to ERP, TMS, fleet management or other enterprise systems.
File exchange
Import and export operational data in Excel, CSV or another agreed format.
Custom integration
We build a custom connector where your existing systems need one.
Start without integration
For a pilot or simulation, a simple spreadsheet is enough.

Setup and 35-day test period
We adapt MilkRun to your fleet, suppliers, rules and data. Your team uses it in daily work for 35 days at no cost.
- Your decision
Pay after use, only if you continue
If you decide to keep using MilkRun, you pay after each month of use, never in advance. If it doesn't suit you, you stop and pay nothing.
How the free milk collection simulation works
One typical collection day is enough to see what MilkRun would change in your operation.
Send one day of data
Suppliers with locations, volumes and milk grades, tankers with their compartments and capacities, plant intake windows. An Excel file is enough.
We model your operation
We build the collection plan in MilkRun under your real constraints and calculate the tankers needed, mileage and timings.
Review the results together
In a short call we compare the MilkRun plan with what actually happened that day and discuss the next steps.
Rules no standard tool can handle? We build the algorithm around them
We have been solving optimisation problems for more than 10 years. Tell us what makes your milk collection different, and we will show you on your own data what a tailored algorithm can do.
- Your rules, fleet and plants built in
- Tested on your own data before you decide
- Developed together with your logistics team
Questions we are often asked
What data do you need?
A list of suppliers with addresses or coordinates, daily volumes and the milk grade each farm supplies, your tankers with their compartments and capacities, operating hours and plant intake windows. If something is missing, we will tell you what we can work without.
How is our data handled?
Your data is used only to build your simulation. We can sign an NDA before you send anything, and we delete the data after the project, or earlier if you ask.
How long does the simulation take?
Usually within 5 working days of receiving complete data.
What does it cost?
No cost for the simulation, the setup or the 35-day test period. If you decide to keep using MilkRun, you pay after each month of use, never in advance. If it doesn't suit you, you pay nothing.
Do we need to integrate our systems first?
No. For a simulation, a spreadsheet export is enough. Integration only matters if you decide to use MilkRun for daily route planning.
What could one day of your milk collection data tell you?
Send us data from a typical collection day. We model it in MilkRun and show you the plan it would have produced, next to what actually happened.
Excel is enough to get started.
